If you asked Wendy what she thought of that weird tourist trap in the middle of the woods a few years ago, she would’ve rolled her eyes and called it a cheap scam.
If you asked Wendy what she thought of that weird tourist trap in the middle of the woods today, she would grin and tell you that the Mystery Shack is one of the coolest places in town, and if you asked her why, she would adjust her white and blue cap and tell you all about this strange family that visits Gravity Falls every summer.
Or, five times Wendy formed a bond with the inhabitants of the Mystery Shack, and the one where those bonds became apparent.

Van's journey with her own reflection and how she is perceived from before the crash to the wolf attack and then when they ever get rescued and have to face the real world again. Along with being the only one to carry a physical reminder of the trauma they faced on her face. No to mention dealing with being a teenager, a lesbian and an exceptionally shitty mother. Thankfully if nothing else, Van had Tai, at least for a while.
