Summary
Derek’s desperate to catch Stiles’ scent. He wonders if it will be dark and earthy, crackling with the fire of his spirit, or sweet with the promise of those honeyed eyes and lush mouth. He tells himself it is a normal curiosity that makes him seek the answer, and nothing else.
Derek sniffs, his nostrils flaring as he tries to hold back his greedy gulps, then nearly recoils in shock. Because Stiles smells... well, unobtrusive. Abnormally so. Even betas have a unique scent, although one typically less distinct than those of alphas or omegas. It’s as if his scent has been erased, with only the ghost of its existence beneath his skin.
A myriad of emotions flickers through Stiles' face.
“Not a love match, then,” he croaks out. “Perhaps it would behoove you to remember, Your Royal Highness, that it is not only polite but appropriate to ask for permission before scenting someone. Unless you want to be mistaken for just another knot head.”
“You are mistaken in thinking I care about your opinion,” Derek says coldly, brushing away the sting of Stiles’ words.

Summary
For the AU:
On his 18th birthday, Stiles has the chance to choose his gift, no matter how expensive or immoral. Most omegas get themselves a werewolf from The Trade, but Stiles had always promised himself he’d never be one of them. That is, until he discovers that his childhood crush, Derek Hale, is among the local optionsDerek laughs. A look of hurt and anger flashes over the omega's face, giving Derek pause.
"Look," he says, and he must be tired to have been swayed by a pretty face, "it's your money. If you want to play games, that's fine. It's less work for me. But I can make your first time one to remember." He strips off his robe, and as the omega's eyes track every inch of slowly exposed skin, Derek almost hopes he'll say yes. He moves toward the bed, his rousing dick already tenting the front of his briefs.
The boy's cheeks are flushed a delightful pink, and his pupils are large and mouth half-parted as he chokes out a sound that speaks to his inexperience. "Stop." He puts his hand against Derek's bare chest, then looks up at Derek guiltily before pulling it back, fast. "I meant what I said," he adds, as his voice drops to a whisper. "I'm getting you out."

Summary
Of all the things Stiles imagined could happen, he never thought he’d end up packless.
*****
Derek picks up his coffee and drains it slowly. "My place is a twenty-minute drive from here. I could show you, if you'd like," he says once he finishes. His tone is studiedly casual, but Stiles knows what a big deal it is. It's an offer to re-establish a connection with a former pack member. To invite Stiles into the new sanctuary Derek created for himself.
Stiles looks at his empty cup. He thinks of the miles he's driven. Of the motels and hotels and cheap campsites he's crashed at, and tries to keep his desperation to have something familiar, of not feeling so goddamn lonely, from his voice.
"Yeah. I'd really like that," he says, and if his heartbeat does a little swoop, Derek's too polite to mention it.

Summary
Derek’s eyes widened, and his first instinct was to look towards Scott, but he already knew what he was searching for wouldn’t be there. Hadn’t been there this whole time.
Stiles was missing.
Derek growled and turned to Scott, “what did you do?”
Scott, pale and wide eyed, looked between Derek and Chris, who were both looking at him for answers. “I- Deaton said he wouldn’t notice!”
Chris sighed, “wouldn’t notice what?”
Derek growled in agreement.
“Deaton gave me pills, full of mountain ash, to replace Gerard’s cancer pills. That way after Derek bit him, Gerard would die.”
Chris crossed his arms, “you didn’t think a cancer patient, or the doctor he checks in with regularly, would notice that he wasn’t taking his pills?”

Summary
Working the graveyard shift on Halloween night, John spends most of his time waiting for the phone call that Stiles and Scott have been caught attempting their annual Halloween prank.
He isn't expecting that call to come in the form of a neighbour seeing a group of people covered in blood and dressed as werewolves potentially breaking into his house. Checking up on it himself, he really isn't prepared for the absolute mess unfolding in his kitchen.
Maybe those traumatised teenagers caught smoking weed in the preserve knew what they were talking about when freaking out over werewolves and witches and a psycho with a bat...
