After the events of Port Townsend, Edwin, Charles, Crystal, and the Night Nurse have returned to London. Crystal grapples with the recovery of her memories and her shifting understanding of herself. Edwin, armed with his newfound freedom and comfort in his own skin, begins a tentative exploration of his sexual identity. Charles struggles more than he expected with the changes in both his friends. The Night Nurse makes them do a lot of paperwork. They all grieve for Niko (who is closer than they may have expected).

Charles is a romantic - at least he likes to think so - something which so far has ended in a number of hook-ups and a pet cat. Long story. Edwin is just grateful for the modern technology that is noise cancelling headphones.
Then again, being in love with your bestfriend and roommate isn't an easy pill to swallow either. Especially when you don't even know it yet.
