Every summer, it provided locals with jobs and income, and tourists with a place to stop between visiting Monterey and San Francisco. You know - real cities with more interesting things to see. Summary
The title of this series comes from the instrumental A Kindling, of Sorts by The Oh Hellos. It's a song I believe accurately represents Garrius' spiral into perpetual anger. Throughout his story, Garrius has descriptions pushed onto him without a say in whether he'd like to accept them. He spent seven years believing he was meant to make a change and three more wallowing in anger as he was forced to abandon his morals to repay a debt. Scholar, Investment, Plan Z; All of these have been used to describe Garrius, but none come close to describing what he thinks of himself - to the only thing he ever wanted to be: an archaeologist. And, as a newly independent Garrius begins his exploration of a new content, he's determined to prove to himself that he's worthy of being called just that.

["In Case of Deletion" Description] Vox (Hazbin Hotel)/Reader, No Archive Warnings Apply.
Initially caught by the words “employee sugar baby”, I was somewhat surprised at this story’s slow burn nature. This is possibly one of the only slow burn fanfictions that has kept me on the edge of my seat for every chapter. The reader’s trauma, Vox’s struggle with his own feelings, all tossed into a beautifully described Hazbin setting makes this piece unforgettable!
