I'm not taking this entirely seriously as it has been a while since I've watched and read the Black Butler series and mangas, so I apologize to people still active in the fandom who find this interpretation of their favorite demonic butler. This was based on a roleplay a friend and I have regarding a canonical paring we enjoy to explain why he closes himself off and believes demons are incapable of emotion despite Sebastian's countless times expressing himself. The original character in this one-shot angst filler is Charolette Genesis, a scrappy Georgian gardener who taught him humanity and to engage himself more in the mortal realm instead of following Lucifer's philosophy.
