At least TK kept his promise to stay out of the ICU for a year.
He had only made it as far as the emergency room, a fractured right wrist after a (fairly) friendly basketball game at the station. He didn’t even have to take any time off, and Carlos only made two sarcastic jokes on their way home from picking him up, playfully poking at the soft cast for good measure.
Here they were, ten months into their marriage and he was waiting for Carlos to get out of emergency surgery.
