Summary
There are many folk tales passed down from storyteller to storyteller. Here I take some of the folk tales I know and rewrite them with some of the beloved characters we have been given.

“Lan-er-gongzi sounds like an impressive man indeed,” Wei Ying murmurs, searching for a way to phrase her question that is delicate enough for her to escape reproach and Auntie Yu’s wrath.
“I only worry that I might create awkwardness between you and his uncle by not being a worthy enough match.”
She takes up her spoon again and kicks Jiang Cheng under the table hard enough to make him lower the eyebrow he’s raised at her.
Uncle Jiang clears his throat.
