He winced almost imperceptibly. "I believe this world may not be your own. You say that I am dead, and both you and your siblings have far surpassed what I know– you are truly who you say you are, that I can tell. It might not be the most reasonable, but I cannot imagine what else you could be except my past visions given form."
The ghost nodded. The call of kin to kin; it had felt it too, as it had with Hornet, and it had been the only reason it didn't dismiss him as an illusion like Hornet had.
Or; Hornet, Hollow, and Ghost find themselves in an alternate Hallownest. No one is really happy about it.

Upon reaching the peak of the Abyss, the vessel now known as the Hollow Knight was permanently blinded by the Wyrm’s glow. When it followed the King’s instructions, and did not respond to anything else, it was decided that this was the one and only Pure Vessel.
