Royalty and Soulmate LMK AU
Centuries ago, Sun Wukong, the king of the Flower Fruit Kingdom, planted his mighty staff into the ground, claiming that whoever could lift the staff would be chosen as the heir to his throne. Since then, many have traveled to take their chances, but it's more of a playful decision to try their chances than a true attempt to take the staff. The same was true of MK, a young adult visiting the kingdom on vacation. He decided to take his shot as well, but he had no idea what that decision would bring.

Macaque laughs, and the sound of it is foreign and familiar all at once, like a melody sung out of tune. He concedes, “Probably not.”
