Summary
Everyday on the way home from school, Hitoshi passed by a record store.
At first, it was because it was on the way to the train station, when he’d take the train to the town his foster home was in. It was the fastest way to get from UA to the station, so Hitoshi passed it every day on the way there and back.
When he was adopted by Aizawa and Yamada, though, Hitoshi didn’t change his path, even though it meant that he was now going out of his way to pass by the store.
(When Hitoshi had moved in, he’d been afraid that he wouldn’t be able to bond with Yamada at all. The thought of it had terrified him—Hitoshi had always wanted parents and now he had two of them, but one of them was a near-stranger who Hitoshi barely knew and who, to put it simply, wasn’t really the type of person Hitoshi would usually hang around. He’s standing on the corner maybe two blocks away from the foster home. The corner right where the subway trains empty out. He has a duffle bag full of his stuff hanging at his side.
He texted Bakugou.
Why the fuck did he text Bakugou?
His first instinct was Kaminari. But he didn’t want to scare him off with all this bullshit. Second was Jirou, but she would just want to kick his foster parent’s asses which wouldn’t help anybody. And… Shinsou doesn’t really have anybody else. He’s not close with anybody else in his class and he’s okay with that. He likes it like that. But at moments like this it’s… unhelpful to say the least.
But he still remembers when Bakugou got muzzled at the first sports festival.
...
Or: Shinsou has to run away from a foster home and Bakugou helps.

Hitoshi just grunts, sitting on his hands and swinging his legs underneath the bench since his legs don’t reach the floor. “From who?”
“Your English teacher,” Shouta deadpans. “You’ve been sleeping in classes?”
“Snitches get stitches,” Hitoshi says to him, very seriously.
“Don’t avoid the question.”
“But they do.”
