Summary
The Sandaime of Konohagakure, once a great Kage and protector of the village, has stayed long past his expiry date.
The walls of the Hokage's office are beginning to rot, and the village is unsteady, looking desperately for a change, but it seems that the Hokage is content to let the village continue on it's downward trajectory. The Uchiha are restless and Danzo Shimura grows his political power as the days pass, turning the council against the Yellow Flash, Minato Namikaze.Kakashi Hatake watches from the shadows, and waits. As the rot spreads, his resolve hardens, because Kakashi's loyalties don't lie with men in power, they lie with his pack, those who need his protection. The last Hatake pounces, the strength of the Will of Fire his only ally.
Shikaku Nara doesn't know when he began making the mistake of underestimating ANBU Hound, but he makes a firm declaration to himself to never let it happen again.

So it could turn out pretty cool to be a part-time parent. He had three tiny slaves who did a lot of things instead of him and also listened to him unconditionally. He kind of liked it.
