    Summary

After years of watching Pandora pass by in orbit, Veyra thought she was prepared for the life awaiting her on its surface. She spent her childhood staring out large quartz-glass windows, watching the bright flares of spacecraft pass by as they transported humans between interstellar stations and the vibrant, alien moon.

They had warned her of its dangers— the deceptive beauty of the luminous forests and the fearsome creatures that lived there. They told her about the Na’vi and how fiercely they fought against the RDA’s occupation. She had frowned at this, thinking ‘Of course they fight us, it’s their home.’ At the time, Veyra didn’t understand how significant that fleeting thought was.

Despite everything she learned about Pandora from textbooks and video logs, nothing could have prepared her for what she found when she finally reached its surface many years later— a family, a home, and a way back to herself.

    Summary

734 days. You'd been a prisoner, locked and hidden away in this solitary cell for over two years. Others there had committed petty crimes or made themselves an enemy of the Ultranationalists, and before them— the Soviet Union.

A majority of prisoners hadn't done anything wrong at all, though they were too poor, too educated, or simply too much of a threat to the regime. Anyone could have been in the cell next to yours for any reason. But you? You knew why you were expected to rot away there.

It was either die of disease or malnutrition in your cell, long forgotten by anyone who'd known your name, or be found by either side of the conflict and be killed. Death had called to you for a while; you didn't fear it. And you didn't fear the three, foreign operators when they broke through the door to your prison cell— or when the one with the skull mask held an assault rifle to your head.

❝And who the fuck is this?❞

    Summary

Jake lost a piece of himself when he was told he'd never be able to walk again, an unfortunate hazard of the job. But when he was laying there in the hospital, he would dream of the stories his brother told him about Pandora. He'd have these recurring dreams of flying, feeling free. He wanted to feel that freedom again, and the Avatar Program could provide that.

It's why when he arrived on the indigenous moon he wasn't looking to be some counterspy for Colonel Miles Quaritch, and he certainly wasn't looking for a permanent place among the Na'vi. Jake only wanted to be free. He just never expected his training with the Omaticaya hunter Tsu'tey to alter the course of what he desired.

    Summary

Corporal Makayla Sully believed she was the last of her family. Her parents were long gone, her brother Tom was killed for his wallet, and his twin Jake abandoned her in exchange for the sunny paradise Pandora. Kayla is informed of Jake's passing and so she decides to take a job opportunity with General Frances Ardmore. She hitches a ride to Pandora with the intent of recovering her brother's remains, twenty years since the last time she's seen him. Instead of a box of bones or ash, however, she's given something she thought she lost a long time ago.
