Summary
Temenos has lost much in his life. His parents, though he never knew them to mourn them. Roi, his first friend and closest companion, who left one day and never returned. The pontiff, the man who raised and watched over him, and whose cruel death set Temenos on his current path.
In Stormhail, he comes close to losing someone else, and his path begins to diverge. Eight become nine. The road darkens for all of them, but they must journey towards the dawn. Temenos must journey towards the truth. And a Godsblade will journey at his side.

His hand stopped from where it’d begun to flip rapidly through the book, fingers lingering on the text scrawled across the top. Heartbeat Pendants, it read, accompanied by a simple picture of two heart shaped charms, intricate metal things with matching gems embedded in the middle, a soft glow emanating from the pair.
With too much time on his hands, Temenos takes up a new hobby. It goes as well as it could, all things considered.

Partitio perked up, a spark in his eyes as he added, “—an' Crick is so bad you can see it from the other continent.”
“So we just need to help them along a little!” Agnea clapped her hands, letting out a little cheer. “It’ll be good for them!”
The group decides Crick and Temenos' painfully long courtship has to end. Crick, separate from them, comes to much the same conclusion. Shenanigans ensue.
