Tav wakes up on a beach with a headache and a new occupant of her brain. Luckily for her she finds several others who have also been subjected to whatever those mind flayers did to them. As she runs from her past, she finds solace in someone who needs to run to theirs to overcome it. But perhaps they can help each other.
It's almost like fate...but Astarion thinks fate is nonsense, of course.
- This is currently being rewritten as I wasn't happy with how it was going, I feel like it would be better as a multi-part saga rather than one long story. That way we can skip a lot of the walking from place to place haha.
I haven't got an upload schedule in place just yet as still adjusting to parenthood, so it will be a nice surprise when each part is uploaded. -

“Oh, gods forbid they respond positively to you doing a good thing,” Neve deadpans. She squeezes him a little again. “That’s sort of how it works, Astarion.”
She can’t even see it. Believes the best of them all so earnestly, himself included, that she can’t see how it would all fall away without her at the center. It’s enough to make a person feel like they might actually deserve it.
“And by it, you mean…?” he asks instead.
Her huffed laugh of disbelief ruffles the hair at his neck. “Friendship, you idiot,” she answers. “And the general acquisition thereof.”
Astarion cuts a sideways look at her as best he can with her still nestled so close. “And is that what we are? Friends?”
He’d meant it to tease her, and yet finds that the silence before her answer twists his stomach. Because…he doesn’t actually know, either.
“Yes, Astarion,” Neve says gently, after a moment. “I think we’re very good friends.”

As he stared at Tav, who was quietly organizing her pack by the fire, his half-formed thoughts and ideas suddenly crystallized into a cold, perfect plan. He’d seduce her, romance her, make her feel like she was the only girl in the world. And after he had given her the night of her life, positively ruined her for anyone else, he’d begin whispering in her ear. He’d become her lover, her confidant. And then she would become his puppet. That was more than a fair trade. He’d have a gorgeous meal, his space would be guaranteed in their little group, at the top where he belonged, and then somehow, he didn’t know how, but, somehow, Tav would waltz their merry band back to Baldur’s Gate and drive a stake right through Cazador Szarr’s heart. For him. Afterwards, well, Tav had served her purpose. Then he could truly do as he pleased.
Astarion smiled a wide, real smile and finished his wine, wincing at the cheap, bitter taste.
At that moment Tav looked up from her supplies and caught him staring. He raised his empty goblet to her and she waved back, a warm smile softening her lovely features.
This was going to be so easy.

Bakugo and Uraraka get hit with a Quirk on patrol that swaps their Quirks. Now they have to learn how to live with an unfamiliar Quirk while waiting—and hoping—for the effects to wear off and their Quirks to swap back. It seems simple enough—Uraraka has to learn how to control her sweat production and explosions, Bakugo has to learn how to navigate in Zero Gravity and not get nauseous. They're two pros, they can handle this.
But spending so much time together starts to get confusing.

If Ochako had to choose anyone to be psychically connected to as a result of an unfortunate quirk, Bakugou is about the last person she would choose. Really, the only person she'd hate being linked to more is Deku, who broke her heart last year. Naturally, that means that while she was in a fight with some evil child-killing bastards after a long day of saving lives, it had to be Bakugou the villain tied to her mind. They say two minds are better than one, but Ochako doesn't think they meant it for this particular context.
