The crossover that really shouldn't work but does. I want to read so much Eugenides and Garak sneakily taking about things they may or may not have done in various places...

Garak knew the moment he saw Julian Bashir, he wanted him as his Ke'dal; Bashir knew the moment he saw Elim Garak, he wanted them to be boyfriends. You see the dilemma here.

Love this. Big misunderstandings lead to happy relationships (but oh no! Drama!) with third-act angst and happy endings all around.
Nicely structured and timed, could use a SPAG beta.

Bashir unexpectedly has an orb experience that brings him to a person, time, and place very dear to Garak's heart. Soon, it all becomes very dear to Bashir's heart as well.

    Summary

“Tony Fucking Stark,” is what slips out, because Ben really has no control over his mouth. “By which I mean, hi, Tony Fucking Stark, please, what are you doing in my house? Or, like. At my house. Outside my door, knocking on it.” G-d, he sounds like Peter. No wonder where he got it from, poor kid.

He has just enough awareness to hear Mejía throw a strikeout and literally cannot stop himself from yelling, “Oh, yeah, that’s my man!”

Tony Fucking Stark blinks once, then says, “I can’t believe that I have met so many people—so many people—over the course of my life, and yet this is literally the best first impression anyone has ever made.”

    That’s where it starts, really.

    Summary

Doctor Bashir finds himself in a timeline that's mostly the same, with one glaring difference.

Conversations with himself, Garak, and an appearance by Dax ensue.
(Really, he just wants to go home. He misses his husband and it's been a very long day).

Aaaand maybe he'll help our Prime!Bashir take a peek at some possibilities...

(This was mostly just an excuse for me to write fun, fluffy stuff and play with timelines for the TimeFest Challenge. Edited for formatting 2/8 for an easier read).
