People go to dance their cares away, lost in a swirling sea of lights, bodies, and thumping music. It's not the type of place one typically meets the love of their life. More likely, they'll just meet a passing fancy, who breezes out just as quickly as they breeze in.
It's not the type of place Connor would typically go, and to be honest, Markus isn't too keen on the scene, either. But when they're each invited by their friends, what's the harm in tagging along and forgetting their own troubles?

Something warm fills Connor’s chassis, strong enough that he runs a quick diagnostic to check if something else had become damaged. Still just his thirium pump regulator and communicator. The feeling runs hot and pleasant through his thirium lines before he registers the sensation must be a part of his behavior conditioning programming, rewarding him for eliciting a positive response from Hank.
It’s not an emotion. Just a piece of programming.
