The change in House is noticeable the second he steps out of Mayfield. For starters, he looks different. The haircut is new, of course, but that’s not all. He looks… Serene. Content. Like he’s fully present for the first time in 15 years. Wilson’s overcome with so much pride he nearly wants to cry.
He clears his throat instead. “You look good.” He offers.
And then, to his enormous surprise, House hugs him. A hug. Wilson doesn’t remember the last time they hugged. Maybe at his last wedding? Or was it the one before that? It takes Wilson a moment to get over the shock, but after a few seconds he stiffly hugs back.

‘There’s a shick as Grayson collapses his baton. Then a hand at Jason’s hip. Warmth presses against Jason’s back as Grayson layers himself over him to speak right in his ear - or where his ear would be if it wasn’t covered by the helmet.
“You know I can’t let you go, Hood. You’re coming back to the station with me.”’
Red Hood is arrested by Officer Grayson, who gives him a thorough search.
