Summary
During what Red Hood thought was just a routine check of all of the warehouses in his territory, making sure no new gang was going to start a gang war, he stumbles upon a scene that would haunt his nightmares. A Death Cult about to sacrifice a child that could be no older than 4. After dealing with the cult members, Jason finds himself the new caretaker of a 4 year old toddler that also happens to be able to turn invisible when startled. What could possibly go wrong?

Dear Mr. Potter,
We regret to inform you of the passing of your cousins the late Mr. and Mrs. Drake of Gotham city. As their son’s only living relative he is to be placed in your custody. Timothy Jackson Drake has a sizable inheritance that he will be unable to access until he turns twenty-one. As his soon to be guardian you will be needed to come get him by July 4th. He is thirteen and will be sent into the Gotham Orphanage until you arrive.
Harry stared at the letter before tossing it on the table. He’d asked for a full inquiry of his vaults status and this letter was found. He was appalled at how this was hidden from him along with many other things. He had family other than the Dursleys and the boy probably thought he had abandoned him. It had been three years since he lost his parents. He would be sixteen almost seventeen now.
Taking a deep breath he sat about writing a letter to the boy. If anything he wanted to apologize for not being there and try to explain if the boy allowed it so. He only hoped the boy had found a loving family. Hoped the boy was safe. Hoped he was happy. Finishing the letter he went to the owlery and sent it off with an owl. Now to wait.

Summary
Bruce almost runs over a small child in a blizzard, while on his way to see Jason Blood about an urgent matter. Of course he takes the kid with him. He couldn’t just leave him there. He had no idea what he was getting himself into. He never regretted it, even when fourth his adoptive son was coming home from school every year with a new story about his near death experiences.
Or
Bruce is a great Dad, Tim is a great older brother, and Harry gets a new family before the Dursley’s damage him too much.
(The Dursley’s were canonically abusive, but I am not going to crank it up more than it was in the books. Abuse isn’t just physical, and it’s really out of character for the Dursley’s to go out of their way or spend time hurting Harry. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.)
