And when Rei had seen that and realized he wouldn't need her anymore, she'd done the only smart thing she had ever attempted in her life, she tried to kill Shoto. And Dabi had learned, as Toya, over dinner with his mother's flesh neatly butchered and plated on the table for them, that beyond having a powerful quirk, being a predator made them more than their prey counterparts. Predators could run the world, and they would do it with tooth and claw as much as flame.
Tomura Shigaraki shows him how wrong he was about what he thought he knew of the world, and how much worse things can get from there.

Five oceans. Five Kingdoms. Five Mermen, ruling each other. Although one of the oceans. Atlantic, to be exact. Was ruled by Sirens. The second most powerful underwater Empire to exist. The first was the Pacific Ocean Empire, which was ruled by Selkie Mermaids. The two kingdoms had a rivalry because of the Siren's cruel ways. Leading sailors. Humans, creatures, other mermaids/men into their grasps. Wrapping them around their fingers like a little bit of seaweed and eating them alive. Or either taking advantage of them and using them, however. Although, the power they held was powerful enough to make the other three kingdoms crave the power, fame, and land to be desperate enough to make a good friendship and connection between the empires.
Mermaid Selkie Prince Tenko gets kidnapped by the Siren Prince Touya who wants to make him fall in love with him.
This was a collaboration of me and KiraThePira, they don't care about credit but I do, so credits to them (also neither of us knows where the allow co-authors is or whatever)

Like any unloved thing, Dabi has only ever felt like he is more than his broken body when he is being touched. Those gentle touches have always been few and far between, becoming even more scarce and then practically nonexistent by the time he had found the League. But Tomura took this thing, that he doesn't even realize belongs to him now, and held him gently, taking all the time Dabi needs to be shown that he can exist outside of his hate. That he is not the rage perpetually boiling in his gut.
Or: Dabi has a very negative view of himself, but Shigaraki is working on it.
