It was coming now. Suguru lifted his head, sparing one second of a look into the crowd.
A pair of bright blue eyes stood in front of the crowd, smiling at Suguru once they made eye contact. Suguru froze momentarily, the kick at his stool from Haibara snapping him out of his state.
Suguru realized he missed his cue. His eyes widened and he took a moment to catch the beat before finally finding where he could jump in.
He was panicking. He’d never messed up. Not once. Nanami and Shoko glanced back at him with furrowed brows.
It was those damn bright blue eyes.

Summary
Megumi is beyond irritated with his dad, Satoru. He knows he is ready to try summoning Mahoraga. After one particularly frustrating training session, in which Satoru tells him, once again that he is not ready, Megumi blows up at his dad and makes a comment he immediately regrets.
The next day, their family receives a call that changes everything. What was supposed to be a routine mission goes horribly wrong, leaving Satoru cursed and comatose.
As days turn to weeks, with no change in Satoru’s status, Megumi is wracked with guilt and fear. He realizes that he always thought that his papa, Suguru, was the glue keeping their family together, when in reality it had always been his dad, Satoru, who kept them stable.
