Summary
It had been a long day and Merlin breathed a sigh of relief when he was finally able to close the door to the rest of the world and retreat to the sanctuary of Arthur’s chambers.
As he turned around he smiled, filled with contentment with the sight that met him.
Arthur chambers exactly as they normally were. A little disorganised, but relatively neat and cosy with the fire burning in the hearth, flooding the room with ambient light and warmth. He could breathe here.
And best of all, of course, was his gorgeous king, who sat at his desk, reading a book in one of those loose white shirts which drove Merlin wild.

The sudden ring of Phantom's phone pierced the tension like a knife through butter. Twice it happened, and twice the ghost's hand shot to silence it. The third time, he snatched it up with a snarl, ready to give whoever it was a piece of his mind.
"What?!" he snapped.
Constantine felt a cold hand grip his heart when he heard the smooth, cultured tones of the caller. He knew that voice, had heard it in his worst nightmares, and once, in a very real, very nasty deal gone sideways.
"Respectfully, my liege, I must insist-"
"Not today, Satan," Phantom cuts in dryly and hangs up

“With a smile of course!” The clown cackled as he pulled out a canister and threw it at Danny.
"Nuh-uh.” Danny replied, catching the canister mid-air.
The clown’s smile faltered, his eyes narrowing with confusion.
“The fuck you mean ‘Nuh-uh’?” The clown asked.
“Don’t wanna.” Danny deadpans before throwing the canister back.
