Rikki was watching her from the floor, her big eyes trying to decipher Gunwook’s expression. The low light on Rikki’s nightstand was on and the dim light made Rikki’s face look softer and her red hair made her eyes look bigger and hypnotizing, like a siren lulling her.
Rikki, her best friend. Her best friend who had looked for Gunwook first thing when her first boyfriend broke up with her, who had trusted Gunwook to tell her she liked girls too.
Rikki, her best friend, who just asked her if she wanted to kiss.
“Only if you want,” Rikki reiterated again at the prolonged silence.
