Summary
V.A. Vandevere, Colette Marchant, along with Sotheby and Skellig, have arrived at the Medici Family Circus to discover whether the elephant really does fly. While Vandevere takes Max Medici for a Walk & Talk, Colette Marchant and Holt Farrier first get to know each other. Bad first impressions are made all round.
This takes place during the scene in the movie after Colette has stepped in Dumbo's dung, and when V.A. takes Max into the field behind the circus to convince him to come to Dreamland.
In this version, as with my other "Dumbo" stories, Milly Farrier is 18 years old.

Summary
It's 1920, and the first Christmas season since V.A. Vandevere and Milly have become secret lovers. The busy holiday at Dreamland is preventing them from finding time alone. Just as they grab a moment Milly's younger brother, Joe, learns their secret. And he's not as stupid as Vandevere had always thought.
This is a stand-alone that takes place after what I have, so far, of "Baby, Mine."
