Daena Targaryen (The Realm’s Light), born of Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen, is trapped in the clutches of Aegon The Usurper, forced to live under the same roof as her brother’s murderer.
For once (and perhaps the only time), Aegon let’s his love for his niece overshadow his Dragon sized ego, and arranges for her to be released into the hands of The Brackens.
For now.
For he has forgotten two things regarding his decision to allow her out of his sight.
One. He has forgotten is that The Blackwoods resided close by. Had he really thought they would stand by while their Princess was a mere field away?
Two. Perhaps most importantly, he has forgotten that Daena Targaryen is in every sense her father’s daughter.
And she is grieving.

This is not the first time Angel has walked out into a meltdown at the main receptionist desk at Wolfram & Hart, and he doubted it would be the last. Nevertheless, this is possibly the first time he’s caught off guard by a five-nothing middle aged, apron-wearing stick-wielding woman called Molly Weasley who’s not taking no for an answer.
This isn’t typically how one learns he is a father, but Angel supposes Vampires can’t typically procreate and daughters aren’t typically like one lucky-unlucky Kathy Potter.
