    “I think girls can do whatever they want, that’s what my Ma always says, at least,” Steve pauses “Do you want to be friends?”
    “My Mum says I get into trouble a lot.” Peggy’s gotten used to giving the warning as a blanket statement.
    “That’s alright, me and my best friend Bucky get into trouble all the time.” Steve laughs, “I can give you my phone number if you want.”
    “I’d like that very much.” Peggy replies.
    And thus a friendship forms between two idiots that will be greatly explored here.

    If he was now stuck here, there were things that needed to happen now. By 1950, Bucky would be frozen, and Zola would have fully infested SHIELD. If he and Peggy didn’t get married before she started showing, there would be a very uncomfortable scandal. If he didn’t out himself, he’d have to hide in the house for the next nine months. On any number of levels, he didn’t have the time to waste on waiting.

    And if he did of those things, history would be irrevocably altered anyway. Much like the day he’d woken up from his own grave, all Steve could do was look at the only path in front of him, and go forward.

    There were worse things than being handed a do-over of one’s life.
