    Pablo reached for their entwined hands and they jerked them away, holding tight, in perfectly choreographed concert. His eyebrows flew up to his hairline. "Alright, I might have a theory. While it's not something I've ever heard of happening in real life, there are plenty of stories about sorcerers capturing faeries to be their familiars. So I think you might have created some similar bond. Only, you know, accidentally."

    Fourth, he is riding Alexander's personal horse, meaning Alexander could not come himself. Furthermore, there has been no direct communication from Alexander, which means he could not or was not permitted to send word.

    Finally, Magnus is completely, irresponsibly, irreversibly in love with Alexander and is willing to do a great many foolish, dangerous things to ensure his well-being
