It doesn’t matter what he does, or where he goes- Caelus can’t get SAM out of his mind. More specifically- the one behind SAM, Firefly. He resolves to get back in touch with her, but fool that he was, he didn’t think to ask for her contact info at any point during their excursion.
So, he does the only thing he can think of- camping his phone 24/7, 365, silently praying one of the astral express’ arch nemesis decides to text him for whatever innocuous reason they might have, and get that number.
But of course, he’s THE galactic baseballer and rising star of the galaxy, a fact that is hurting him in a way he should’ve seen coming: getting messaged by everyone and their dog… literally.

Akira counted on his friends to come through for him in his time of need. Surely they'd realize after everything they've been through, the reality they were fighting for was worth it all along, and come to his aid so they can be heroes one last time.

Did he blame them? No, not really. Who would throw away a dream reality (he did) where you got everything you wanted in life (he did it for them, everything was always for them)?
Whatever. It didn't bother him, not one bit. He didn't need them to save the world. All he needed was his rival, his kouhai who was long dead and had been masquerading as her sister (both of which he was NOT falling in love with, that would be unprofessional of him), and his talking not-cat-but-actually-is best friend.
Guess he'll just have to do this without them.

"Flowers have tons of uses!” Hilda exclaimed happily. “It’s just that you’re so focused on fighting and ruling and studying that you never take the time to appreciate them!”
Dimitri paused to think.
“Then, if I were to stop and appreciate the things around me (life) more… perhaps my burden (desire for vengeance) would be lifted…” he muttered.
“Well, maybe your burden (royal duties) would never be completely lifted, but taking time to heal (relax) will help you, you know? Everyone needs that sense of peace (to relax from stress).”
“But, if I were to grow too accustomed to peace (happiness), would I not be neglecting my duties (to get revenge)?”
“Hmm, well, your duties are important and all, but you always gotta keep yourself in mind,” Hilda told him. “Forgetting (to take care of) yourself is dangerous, you know? There are so many scary consequences (losing sleep, stress, etc)...!”
Dimitri’s gaze went to a far-off place, as he sometimes did with Hilda.
“Yes… I must never forget myself (lose sight of who I am), for the consequences (of descending into bloodlust) are far too great…”
(Hilda and Dimitri build a friendship and more on the solid foundation of misunderstandings.)
