He's naked against him, his body sticky with sweat and the remnants of their previous activity, but it's too much effort to get out of bed right now, not when Satoru is yawning and warm against him. “It might not even be on purpose.”

Sunday always considered himself the Oak Family head first, an object of fame second. Suffice to say, this sentiment was not shared by all. With the arrival of a mysterious, disgusting gift practically left on Sunday's doorstep, the Oak Family decided to heavily increase his security. Once again under the protection of his former, now current, bodyguard Gallagher, Sunday resolved to serve judgement to the wicked.
Unbeknownst to him, this was no cut and dry case.

Gallagher had his doubts, and his concerns. Sunday seemed far more scattered than usual. Had he answered those same questions months ago, Sunday would’ve surely thrown him out. He was no doctor, but Gallagher couldn’t exactly neglect the idea of some kind of neurological damage. Also comas were generally bad. He could always test his theory. At the same time, Sunday was in no state to be pushed. Still, his dependence wasn’t lost on Gallagher, neither were the slight off-pace movements in his left hand.

Veritas’s gaze goes everywhere, everywhere but Kakavasha, as if he wasn’t even worth a small glimmer, when he used to be the only one able to stand under the gleaming light and bask in its tender warmth.
“Kakavasha,” Veritas replies, his gaze never left the trees, the grass, the sky, all Kakavasha is allowed to see is the nest of black feathers and the ring of cracked purity, “I believe you remember I dislike meaningless drabble.”
What Aventurine, what Kakavasha heard instead was-
Yes, I do not regret leaving it all behind.
I do not regret leaving you behind.
Perhaps it is the breaking point then, when roaring waves of agony drowns his ears and his throat strains with a sob, a scream, a cry, the point where Aventurine realizes that that gaze was no longer reserved only for him.
Will never gaze upon him ever again.
