    Summary

Days and days and days go by in a blur of nothingness. There is an ache in his chest and every time Glinda comes to bed after him, he rolls over towards her in the soft cold dark and opens his leaden arms and lets her tuck her head under his chin, fragile shoulder blades like wings and the knowledge that there should be another person there lying heavy on their heads.

It is on one of those quiet, sad nights that he says into the still darkness, “We can’t keep doing this.”

Or, Wicked Act II, but Elphaba and Fiyero come back for Glinda sooner rather than later. Prequel to 'try not to speak superlatives' (not necessary to read beforehand).

    Summary

In careful, deliberate ways, Elphaba has found she and Galinda are not so different. In careful, deliberate ways, they have also learned from each other— what it means to be certain that you never need to be anyone but exactly who you are; what it means to know that there is someone who would never ask you to change. What it means when one day, you look in the mirror, and you see that you have anyway, because change is so very easy when someone loves you that much.

Which is to say, that in some fashion, Galinda, who has never been careful or deliberate, has barged her way into Elphaba’s quiet life and for once banished her own impulses in favor of new ones, in favor of the slow, connective kindness that can only be unearthed by the gentlest pair of hands.

(Or, the five times that Galinda asks Elphaba to tell her a secret, and the one time Elphaba asks her.)

    Summary

“So that’s why I bring Violet Wickett up,” says the first, feminine voice, “because there’s two things that have defined Vi her entire career. How hard she plays as a forward, especially on defence, and her rivalry with Caitlyn Kiramman.”

“See, if I’m Mel Medarda, I’m not even giving Wickett another glance. I’m taking Kiramman with my first pick and grabbing from the end of the Ironfist’s bench.”

“That’s what makes this so delicious, though, Jack. Mel Medarda can get both of them.”

Hockey AU. The RHL is expanding, and both Caitlyn and Vi are up for grabs, their rivalry being a well documented storyline in the RHL for twelve years. What happens, however, when they're both taken to a new team? What happens when a relationship forged in belief of only seeing each other once in a while on road games is faced with playing beside each other every day?

    Summary

On her best days, Glinda thinks that this is the kind of Oz Elphaba always wanted.

But only on her best days. Because on her worst days, all she feels is the slow drip of all her drive and enthusiasm fading away. Without anger and ferocity, it’s much easier for despair to consume her. On her worst days, she finds herself aching for Elphaba. The smell of parchment and pine and magic start to fade from the hat, and Glinda aches at the thought of what she’ll do when she loses it entirely.

All she’s done means nothing if Elphaba can’t be here to see it. It means nothing if Glinda lost her along the way.

It’s what she deserves. She knows that every day, good and bad. But she yearns for Elphie all the same.

or, months after the Witch's death, Glinda sets out to look for her again

    Summary

Fiyero Tigelaar has stood at the top of a lot of cliffs and been to a lot of parties.

Galinda Upland feels like a party. She's beautiful and perfectly expected, fun in the ways that never come close to the core of him, safe from touching him in a way that matters.

Elphaba Thropp feels like a cliff’s edge, like the promise of the drop.

Fiyero’s stood at the top of a lot of cliffs but never been brave or drunk enough to make the jump.
