Not a happy holiday Secret Santa gift! In fact. this story is not at all suitable for the holidays but I've been re-reading Joking's Fragments and was inspired. This harkens back to Fragments chapters 16 and 26. Both chapters refer back to canon events from the trilogy so you should not be too lost if you are familiar with it. The prompt was the general Tumblr prompt: “Listen, I can’t explain it, you’ll have to trust me.” This is part of my larger story. It was hinted at but not explored in the main story. You don't need to be familiar with the story to figure out what is happening here. Aethyta is too old and too stubborn to be scared by anyone, not even the reapers.
