Itadori, for the first time since the two men got there, speaks up, “I- uh- ate that thing.”
“He did.” Megumi confirms Itadori’s statement.

“You didn’t tell me that the guy dies at the end of the book.”
“What?” Geto asks, already preparing his eyes to be blinded by the light that is the familiar stranger gracing the bookstore for the third time in a week.
“The main character literally dies at the end of this book,” the man says, waving his copy in the air. “I can’t believe you didn't tell me that. The plot is basically unresolved!”
“First of all, you said you didn’t want a summary,” Geto begins, continuing to sort the stack of composition books in his hand. “And second, why would I spoil a book that you’re about to purchase?” Geto asks, utterly baffled by the sheer lunacy of the entire situation. “And, for the record, you don’t know for sure that he’s dead, it’s up for interpretation.”
“Well, you could at least give a guy a warning next time!” the man sputters, waving his arms through the air so quickly that Geto thinks he is going to knock over one of his carefully decorated displays.
“Well, the guy could have taken a little more time to read the back of the book,” Geto says, mockingly.
“My name is Gojo Satoru.”

“Shoko! Don’t become like those two, okay?”
The sleeve of Utahime’s white Kosode scratches the inside of Shoko’s neck, where her arms wrap around in a vice grip. The fabric is dusty from the cratered debris around them, and the big ribbon in Utahime’s hair has been knocked askew. Shoko laughs in short bursts, to keep the cigarette she’s pushed to the corner of her mouth, away from the top of Utahime’s head, from falling out.
As if, she thinks, looking at Gojo and Getou, milling a few paces away, the same haughty smirk written plainly across their faces.
She wouldn’t let herself become so entangled.
