In the river, a King makes a deal. In the dark, something hunts.
Or; Silco doesn't die right. It's a more common occurrence than he thinks.

'The formation of the Triage -River, moons, and planet-, so important for this miraculous little system sustained in Arcane and little else that they remade their calendar to signal it, marked the start of a new age of peace and togetherness in which colonies were established and their capital, Piltover, kept growing and progressing further than anyone had ever dared to hope it would.
Yet, with the Mining Union revolts and the number of Hunters growing by the year, people have begun to wonder; is the end of this era fast approaching?'

Summary
There's a certain point where you can no longer ask someone what their name is. Thorin isn't sure exactly when that point is, but he knows that it's probably some time before the person in question saves your life. On the far side of the Misty Mountains, Thorin realizes that he never quite caught the first part of Mr. Baggins' name, and he finds that it's astonishingly harder to learn than he would have thought. Fili, Kili, and Dwalin are no help whatsoever.

“They don’t exist.”
“Pardon?” The bard’s brown hair flops as he tilts his head.
Geralt bravely doesn’t sigh again. “The monsters in your songs. They don’t exist.”
For some reason that gets him a grin, “How do you know?”
Geralt stares at him.
“I’m a Witcher.”
The bard laughs, “So just because you’ve never seen them that means they don’t exist?”
“Yes.” Geralt says flatly.
“Agree to disagree.” The man says flippantly, “But I would love to hear more about the monsters you’ve fought.”
“No.” Geralt takes a drink desperately and finds he is almost at the bottom of his tankard. He contemplates whether it’s worth the coin for another. Probably not.

They sit in silence for another moment - he, fit of friendship over, studying the engraving on the cover of the Night Nurse’s book, she, embarrassed at this bonding moment between them, readjusting herself on the couch.
Edwin stands and makes his way to his bookshelves. “Would you like to read something a bit more cheerful?”
“Yes, please,” Crystal says, truthfully, and extends her hands for the heavy tome that he gives her.
They sit in silence together for another few moments, and then - “What the fuck, Edwin, in what world is ‘A Dissertation on Modern Age Poisons’ ‘more cheerful’?”
