“It’s a rock,” she deadpanned, Shin’s insides feeling like jelly. It wasn’t just any old rock though. It was the multi-coloured one Shin had left on Sabine’s bunk, the Mandalorian clearly having found it."
“I see that,” Sabine said, her words tinged with amusement. The corners of her lips arched upwards. “What I want to know is why you left it on my bed.”

“It reminded me of you,” Shin said after a moment, shrugging her shoulders as she turned back to Sabine. “Colourful. Thought you’d like it.”
“Colourful, huh?” Sabine mumbled as she looked down at the rock in her hand. “Colourful like my hair and armor? Or colourful like my amazing personality?”

“Colourful like everything about you,” she said. “Beautiful.”

Sabine's usual nightshift at the ER is unsettled when a woman with strange wounds is brought in. Sabine recognizes her immediately for what she is, a vampire hunter. This is a problem, because Sabine is a vampire. But when this hunter holds the only lead she has to finding Ezra, who disappeared years ago, Sabine has no choice but to partner up with her, even if this vampire hunter wants nothing to do with her.
