Summary
Something was wrong with Trucy, of that Apollo was certain, and given her upcoming show he knew it couldn't be anything good. Determined to help, Apollo confronts her, only to find that it's worse than he thought. With Trucy unable to perform, the two of them hatch a daring plan to save her show: Apollo would perform in her stead.
Or, Trucy injures herself and Apollo is a good big brother (though he doesn't know it yet).

"Oooh! What about this, Uncle Edjiworth?"
They’ve been searching fruitlessly for the better part of an hour, and yet Pearl shows no sign of flagging in her mission. Miles has failed to find anything suitable as a gift himself, and the longer it takes, the more anxious he feels. He despises gift-shopping, truthfully. Not because he dislikes shopping on the whole—in fact, he can find it quite enjoyable when browsing for himself—but because locating the right present for a specific person can often be a Herculean trial. Gift-giving, he’s been informed, is an art, and it’s a practice that requires a combination of creativity, sentiment, and social awareness—traits the lot of which he knows he can struggle with, at the best of times.
Selecting a present requires knowing someone, and knowing them well. For many years, Miles was objectively terrible at knowing other people.
[It's Maya's birthday. Miles takes Pearl shopping for birthday presents, and learns he might have a great deal more in common with her than a need to purchase the perfect gift.]

When the door to Kurain manor slammed open, hitting the wall with a deafening crack and causing everyone within the parlor to wince, all eyes flicked to the gasping, disheveled forms of Maya and Pearl, who stood in the doorway, a dangerous glint in Pearl’s eyes, and a devious grin stretched across her older cousin’s face.
“Did you run all the way from Meryton?” Apollo spluttered. The bang from the door had startled him enough to send his book flying across the room, and he seemed venomously cross about it.
Maya ignored him. “You’ll never guess what we just heard.”
Trucy, who had been practicing a new card trick, and Athena, who had been her test subject, perked up at the possibility of new gossip from town. Even Phoenix raised his jagged eyebrows in slight interest as he peered curiously at the Feys over the rim of his tea cup.
“Go on,” he prompted. Maya’s grin stretched wider.
“Netherfield Park has been let at last.”///
