Summary
Darius readjusts his hand to curl more comfortably around Hunter’s. He feels sick at how small the boy’s hand is in his. It hits him hard sometimes, knowing that there’s a whole child growing up in this castle, a place in which to Darius, functions with little differences to an actual cult. It’s disturbing how well the boy with his mentor’s face and loose baby teeth can regurgitate coven propaganda word for word.
He doesn’t care, though. He shouldn’t, and he doesn’t. He hates the child, and plus, there’s no use worrying about something that’s already dead.
“My room is this way!” Hunter says.
And yet, Darius continues to follow him.
He’s not doing a very good job at sticking to his morals, now is he?
Or: Darius doesn't know how to feel about the Emperor's nephew.
