Carlos blinks, looking up from the counter. His fingers are hovering just above the corner of the box that’s sat on this section of countertop for more months than he wants to remember, but right now, it’s just a reminder of the past he’s trying to figure out if he wants anymore.
As he meets TK’s gaze, a smile spreads across his face. “Hey, sorry. I’m here.”
The door clicks closed, and TK takes two steps closer. He smiles, too, reaching out to touch Carlos’ arm. “I didn’t ask if you were here. I asked what you were thinking.”

Alec looks up, a pithy response on the tip of his tongue – he has a fucking name tag on his clearly store-branded shirt – but the words get tangled up on the way out and he just ends up saying, “Um. What?”
This is because the man in front of him is so attractive, it’s possible Alec is hallucinating – real people don’t look like this. They just don’t. And if such people do exist, they probably shop at places that don’t have issues with spontaneous plastic skeleton sex dioramas.
