    Marinette knows that she is dying. The sheer amount of magic she used when she was Ladybug is slowly killing her. She knows that soon she will die. She has made peace with this. She doesn’t tell anyone about it thinking it will be easier if she just disappears. She leaves only a letter for the next Ladybug and simply disappears into the darkness of the night leaving her old life as a Baker’s daughter behind her.

    She would have been fine to simply slip out of existence. She would have if she hadn’t been found in London by a cynical cigarette-smoking man called John Constantine. Who apparently could smell the insane amount of magic wafting off her. He decides to take her in and train her in hopes that she will be able to use the magic that is now fused to her soul.

    Marinette knows only one thing about her new life as Marinette Constantine, daughter of the Hellblazer, and it’s that she’s not done living.
