Summary
Kontar, God of misfortune and son of Set, has lived all his life a disgrace to his pantheon for his physical deformities, title, and origins. Now, after accidentally meeting a kind human mortal, Kontar realizes he can be more than what is destined. He doesn't have to be depressed, living in fear of his father. But the more time he spends with the mortals in the Human Realm, the more tensions arise. Kontar is dancing between the line of legal and illegality of deities, and soon, his misfortune might begin to rub off on the mortals, causing destruction.

In Egyptian mythology, Anubis weighs the heart of a dead person against the feather of Maat to determine if they can go to paradise. If their heart is lighter than the feather, they were good in life and get to proceed. If their heart outweighs the feather, they were bad in life, and their heart gets eaten by the creature Ammit.
Knowing how insufferable bad people are, I could easily imagine how exhausting this job would be. So I've made a collection of one-shots where Anubis has to deal with the same assholes we have to deal with every day. Whether it be bigots, Karens, murderers, rapists, incels, anti-vaxxers, neo-Nazis, religious fundies, obnoxious influencers, or anyone else that makes life miserable, Anubis has to put up with them since no other god will take his job for this exact reason.
