It didn’t miss and you- fuck,” He chokes out, a sob high up in his throat, the barbed wire digging further and further into his skin. The sobs come out more, now, violent and unforgiving as they shake Thomas’ broad frame, and Newt can feel nothing except for the anger in his bones at the fact that Thomas, brave and stupid and so very wonderful Thomas was being terrorized by his own mind.
The hands they were dealt weren’t fair, they never had been, but hadn’t Thomas gone through enough already? Hadn’t the younger one suffered enough? Hadn’t he lost enough already?
OR
Newtmas angst, hurt/comfort, and Newt helping Thomas through his nightmares. And then some.
