With nothing monumental to distract him as he stares down being an empty-nester, all of the Winchester's past traumas come back to life and won't give him peace.
Dean Winchester II thought he had a normal life. He thought his dad had served in the military, where his brother and Dean II's namesake had lost his life. He thought he would go to college, marry his high school sweetheart, and live happily ever after.
The universe had other plans, especially once Dean uncovered the deep dark secrets his parents had kept from him throughout his entire life.
A/N: While this is part of the Dean's Wish body of work, it *technically* can be read as a stand alone work. Just be aware there's some references to The Winchesters, and some lose references tying into Til Dawn Do Us Part and Lemon Fields (the two previous works).
