Summary
Heroes rarely lead happy lives and it was often the ones they loved most who bore the brunt of the pain, and Achilles loved Patroclus with the type of love that only gods and the extremely god-blooded could. The gods unfortunately did not like to be rivaled in anything.
(Patroclus was god-blooded and talented too—more so than he thought, even—and the strength of his love rivaled the strength of Achilles for him, but it was of a more mortal type that allowed room for distance and even death. Achilles’s affection was godly in ways even Heracles could not match.)
A few drabbles--not quite a 5+1--about the relationship of Achilles and Patroclus, and the ways they are different and alike. Starts light but ends pretty angsty.
+1 is up! There is Romans and shrines and cults and an island!

Summary
Alejandro had only really heard of plane crashes in the news, or offhandedly if someone was scared at an airport, but he’d never experienced one first hand, at least not until now. It was something that seemed absurd to actually happen to him, it’s only the things you hear about.
The outside world became a blur as the ground rushed up to meet them, the wind howling, adding to the chaos inside the cabin, intensifying the sense of impending doom.
———
Noah and Alejandro have been business rivals for as long as them — and any of their other colleagues — can remember. After a business trip goes wrong, the two find themselves stranded on some random island.
As they learn to coexist and explore the area, the two separately find information that points in the direction that the other had staged their plane crash. With tension higher than ever, the two will fail to talk to each other, but what if the island isn’t what they thought it was to begin with?

Stoick the Vast may not be an ideas-having viking, but even he has his moments. If Astrid can keep Hiccup from running off and causing trouble, it only makes sense to give her that job while he's busy chiefing and fighting. Whether either of them would choose this arrangement is less important than that it works.
And it does. Eventually too well. Take two stubborn vikings, add a unhealthy dose of medieval oaths, and stir until Berk explodes.
