When he was young he was the ward of Bruce Wayne and talk of the tabloids. As a member of Young Justice, in a mission gone wrong he lost his best friend to none other than Deathstroke the Terminator. Grief swallowed him whole, and that's when it all went wrong. He went after the mercenary, and was killed. However, his death wasn't the end, because that would be too easy. Dick Grayson--brought back by the Lazarus Pit--whose now dead to the world is useful to the mercenary as his student, successor, and pawn. After years of being a toy to the contract killer Dick escaped and ran from himself and everything he's ever known.
He now goes by Grayson Lloyd, but mostly referred to as Gray. He took his mothers maiden name, and returned to Gotham, but not as a hero, as something the city would come to dispute about. Vigilante. Killer. Hero. Murderer. Mercenary. He's everything in between: the gray area if you will. The Batfamily of course have something to say about this new vigilante. This is Batman's city after all.

When Tim comes back to base, a plan is made to stop the League of Acolytes (League of Shadows heroic counterpart) and the past of the former Titans who are now villains is introduced.

Summary
The insanity in Dick’s eye faded and replaced with something more sorrowful, his grip loosening.
“You, the al Ghuls, the world, everybody—you took him away from me. You hurt him the most. And you didn’t protect him. My Baby Bat..." His voice trembled as he hung his head. “I loved him—love him more than I ever loved you. You used me, broke me, and then I left.”
Dick took in a sharp breath. Remembering the past where he’d given his heart to this man, only for it to be stomped on and thrown aside like his trust never meant anything was like a knife stabbing in an old wound.
“Damian was like you in so many ways yet he was so, so easy to love. And you broke him too.” Dick’s arms dropped to his side. He kept his gaze down because he couldn’t even look at the man anymore. “I love him so much. I tried to save him.”
And just like that, the grief was replaced once again with rage, as it was the only thing Dick ever felt nowadays when he was in front of Bruce. “I tried to save him. And maybe I could have succeeded—but then he died. He’s dead again and it’s all YOUR FAULT, BRUCE!”

Jason turned the TV off. It was starting to distract him. It would be hard to track down Dick or find out what happened to him if he hadn’t been seen since his ‘death’. Someone had to know something. That was always the case when it came to anything. Someone knew something.

When Jason returned to Gotham, he wasn't expecting a lot of things. New siblings, a dead brother. He also wasn't expecting to find himself in the crosshairs of a dangerous mercenary known as Renegade. But when Renegade proposes they work together to kill Batman, Jason has to do everything to protect his father from whoever is under that mask.

Damian is the favorite. He is capable of everything Bruce is and then some. He is tactical, ruthless, and imposes just as much fear. If you met him you were sure to die. Tim is the brains. He is a cunning strategist that is also Bruce’s technician. He was there to please and would do anything Bruce said. Jason is the muscle. His brutality parallels none and he finds genuine joy in imposing fear to the underworld. Bruce doesn’t have to say anything to him for Jason to want to kill.
Then there was Dick.
Dick didn’t have a specialty like the others. He was the one that liked to play with his food before he killed them. He was the one everyone looked forward to seeing for they would at least get a fighting chance, unlike the others. Something Wally was grateful for - for he’s had to deal with him the most - but his poor bi heart can’t take it because he /has to deal with him the most./
