Summary
Hank's reputation as the fearsome head of the Portland Supernatural Mafia, was largely a gross exaggeration propagated by rumors which had grown far out of hand. According to Hank Pines, the Dinner Crew was more a community service organization. (The streak of violent vigilantism was simply community service by other means.)
That however, didn't stop the vast majority of Portland from believing that Hank Pines was the single most ruthless and cunning mob boss the state had ever seen. So the reaction he got when he stopped by City Hall to check on some paperwork really shouldn't have surprised him.
It did anyway.
