The emergence of Monster-kind brought with it its own trials and tribulations, though with multiple humans attempting to leave the local city near where the Monster's settled, it left quite a few job opportunities. Including a rather well paying job at the [MERCY MEDICAL CENTER], where you figure that you'll be able to finish up your surgeon training... If they're desperate enough to hire you.

The strange glitching got worse, becoming more and more evident the closer it was to Frisk’s soul, and there was a bit of glitching on Chara’s face too. The sclera of Chara’s eyes turned black, exposing the white cracks across the rest of the eyes.
They leaned forward. “When I reset the world this time, you will not kill a single monster, or else I will erase you from existence. The Underground would be better off without you anyways, so don’t delude yourself into thinking I’d hesitate.”

And honestly this might not be your cup of tea. Everytime i reread this I die inside, or cringe either works. I usually reread a month after I write a chapter as to see what I did wrong as I don't always catch my mistakes or something that just doesn't sound right, you know how it is.
The past haunts you, just as much as killing your best friend. It haunts you, never disappearing completely and it hurts. Everyone is gone, and you are alone.
So you do the only thing you do, every single time you're scared. You run. Now you're finding a way to not get caught by the police but it's unfortunately a long hard process.
