The parchment shook in her hands as she looked at the handwriting she hadn’t seen in years. 9 years, 11 months and 6 days in fact.
3,598 days without the guttural panic that coursed through her anytime she saw a small piece of folded parchment with her name inconspicuously inked above the seal.
She knew what it was the minute she saw the innocuous appearing letter waiting for her on the desk in her home office. She didn’t question how they had gotten through her wards, or how they had found her. She had known it was inevitable that they would, she had had nearly 10 years undisturbed, and it had been too good to be true.
Steeling her resolve, she peeled back the plain wax seal, and using a pencil from the nearby pot, flipped the parchment open.

Malfoy was gripping Theo to stop him from going to their table. Theo’s face was distorted into jealousy and a bit of anger towards Harry. Malfoy had the same expression but less angry and more jealous.--------
