For a quick explanation of this au- Please forgive my hellish brainchild. Basically, in this au the "Immernachtreich" covers the entire GAA. The people living on the islands are either ravens like what's found on Fischl's island or they're regular humans. It's generally more ravens near Fischl's castle (basically her island) and more humans on the further out islands. The Immernachtreich is a realm repurposed from the mountaintops by Alice. An ancient song runs through the isles, although very few are able to hear it. And those who do often learn to deny the melodies in favor of acceptance into normal society. After all, why listen to birdsong when the words of the Immernachtreich's beloved Prinzessin ring out for all to hear?
