Alphonse’s ears were red with frostbite, golden hair frosted at the tips and falling over his eyes. The wind nipped at his running nose. He could feel his whole skull chattering against his teeth. His toes were already numb as he stretched, trying to encourage feeling back into them, still wrapped in thick wool socks and secured beneath the laces of his boots. He was still relearning how to tie his shoes, Winry’s old gloves soft against his fingers as he redid the knots.
Even shivering and drenched in snow with bones aching from exertion, Alphonse had never been happier to have the ability to feel absolutely miserable. Every painful moment was better than the sounds of grating metal against the plating of an armor he would never have to see again. No more echoes of a hollow body, only the crunch of his own feet against the snow.

Sariah—Sarah Elric was only three years old when Trisha Elric passed away, leaving her and her two older brothers, Edward and Alphonse, orphaned and utterly alone. She was left in Pinako’s care after her brothers left in 1911. Now almost thirteen, she flees to East City to find them once again.
Against her brother's wishes, she's charmed by a young foreign prince on a mission for immortality.

After the death of King Bradley, and with it the rest of the Homunculi, Olivier Mira Armstrong became the interim Fuhrer President until elections were held. Outraged by the fact that the State Military is still running the country, the Persona Rapid Forces, which it consists of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, the Investigation Team, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, the New Hundred Militia and the Korean Drama Task Force, launched a rebellion against the government to demand that the doctrine of civilian control of the military to be established. Afterwards, both sides announced a truce and sent representatives for treaty negotiations. The Elric Treaty was then signed by the representatives of both sides. But the clauses of the treaty split both the Persona Rapid Forces and the Amestris National Guard, a multi-national military force, which would escalate to the point of civil war in the next few months.

It's six years after the Promised Day, and Roy Mustang has purview over the day-to-day dealings of the State Alchemists. His medical records list him as beta, but Roy has a secret. He was prescribed suppressants because he couldn't handle the scents of the barracks at the Military Academy. He's tried to come off them, but something always drew him back to retaking them. Due to the medication, Roy's never understood what being an alpha is. When an explosion covers him in black market suppressants, he learns that he can't take the medication again.
Alphonse Elric, an omega, is rare and coveted. He learned alkahestry while in Xing and is a part of Heaven's Dance, a prestigious Xingese acrobatics troupe of unmated omegas. Although he's unsure about his sexuality, he's sworn off alphas for a reason. He's come back to Amestris because he has an idea that may change the face of alchemy. Creating arrays unlike anyone has seen is a challenge, and since Edward can't perform the science, Al needs help from someone who knows alchemy and can keep their mouths shut. That means military and, by extension, Roy Mustang.
When the two collaborate together, tempers will be tested, sparks will fly, and lives will be changed.
