Summary

Following the death of his father, Henry must take up the mantle of manager of Fredbear's Singing Show, a responsibility he does not need that comes tied to an inheritance he does not want: the old Jack-In-The-Box his father liked to call 'his sacred muse'. Forced to return to his hometown of Hurricane, Henry is determined to find a balance between traditional family values and personal bliss, two concepts very much at odds with each other. But amidst the monotony of small town living and inter-family drama, a Hail Mary arrives in the form of a brash Englishman with a knack for fixing broken things.
William Afton is a man with no past, no plan, and no tether. What he does have, however, is a secret much more scandalous than Henry's own.

Probably.Quick warning: because of the tone of the story, we get into tones of parental/marital neglect, murder, harm to children, all the FNaF stuff. This is also part of a series, so it takes some time to speed up. It's a longfic for a reason.

It was already 9:00 p.m. when Michael, who usually came home much earlier, made his entrance. Something in his attitude was different. Instead of the usual brusqueness and disregard for the rules of the house, he seemed to be enveloped in a kind of calm. He ignored Dad, who was in the living room, and headed straight for him and Elizabeth.
Evan's surprise was total when his brother, with an expression that was halfway between despair and tenderness, hugged them both. It wasn't the kind of gesture she would expect from him, much less after having seen him tease her with that unpleasant mask.
From the corner of the room, William, the boys' father, watched the scene with a mixture of surprise and confusion. The way his eldest son had behaved, the abrupt change in his behavior, and the way he was clinging to his brothers, all of that was a mystery to him. He stopped his reprimand to watch, wondering what had caused such a transformation in his son. The question was drawn in his mind: What had happened for his stupid son to change? Was it a simple emotional reaction, or was there something deeper behind this sudden change?

“Local diner owner William Afton found dead in Freddy Fazbear Pizza. His son, Michael Afton, has been missing for two weeks. His blood was found on the scene. If you have any information, please call this number.”
David looked at Elizabeth, who kept her eyes glued to the TV. David swallowed, and tapped his sister’s shoulder. She looked at him quickly, her face pale and in shock.
“Dad's dead.” Elizabeth said quietly.
"Michael's missing." Was David’s frantic response.Basically, what if Mrs. Afton managed to escape her husbands claws with the crying child and Elizabeth, but has too abandon Michael with his father in the process.
