It was probably the worst time to do it, but Rama couldn't think of the last time things weren't chaotic so he figured the timing of it didn't really matter. There was always going to be someone after them, something to escape from, somebody to fight and a perpetual series of apocalypses to stop. Really, if anything, he chose one of the calmer moments in between all of that to do it.
In which the two blorbos to ever blorbo, fall in love, go on dates, parent a child and build a home. Also they fuck. Pretty sure there is some plot in there somewhere.
