Harry je z dvojčat a protože Lilly označila za vyvoleného starší dvojče Nicka, veškerá pozornost světa (i rodiny) se soustředí na něho a Harry je hrubě opomíjen a zanedbáván. Z Nicka roste rozmazlený namyšlený spratek a ani v Bradavicích se to pro Harryho nelepší. Nakonec vezme vše do vlastních rukou a úplně se od rodiny odstřihne. Nakonec je to Severus, kdo chlapce vezme do učení a jako prvnímu mu docvakne, že vyvolený je Harry. Brumbál je zasleený starý idiot a Lilly je pozitivně šílená.
